Abstract

Introduce an emergency contact facility on all fire stations in SWFRS for those under threat of violence and in the wake of the devastating killings of Sabina Nessa and Sarah Everard. The facility needs to be accessible and easy to use by members of the public who are initially seeking sanctuary. The objectives of this project are to: 1. Create safe havens on every fire station 2. Provide sanctuary for those fleeing from threat of violence 3. Provide a 999 contact mechanism 4. Work with emergency service colleagues to triage incident This procurement aims to achieve the effective installation of a “button box facility” on each of SWFRS stations, supported by signage communicating its purpose and guidance for use. The contract will be in place for an initial period of Five years with options to extend for up to a further five years. All prices submitted shall be regarded as firm prices for the initial term of Five Years.
