II.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Vale of Glamorgan Council Housing Department collaborated with United Welsh to develop a new building at the East Quay development in Barry- a part of which (7 flats and office space) would be dedicated to this supported accommodation. The remaining flats in the building are earmarked for general needs and older people.

This service will help the Local Authority to meet its duties prevent homelessness under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) act 2015.

The service will complement existing supported accommodation services in the Vale of Glamorgan and will meet an unmet need.

In the application, please submit what your staff cover proposals would be and factor that into the costs.
