Abstract

Cymru Wales video production team requires an advanced media server solution designed exclusively for high throughput, low latency media creation needs. This server will serve as a central hub for our video data, ensuring compatibility with industry-standard editing software, such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro. Additionally, the proposed media server will support secure remote access, advanced metadata, AI search functionality, a storage capacity of 96TB, LTO functionality for data backup and archiving, the ability to work seamlessly with proxy files for remote users, and automated cataloguing of assets. . Objectives: • Implement a secure and scalable media server solution tailored for a small video production team. • Facilitate high throughput and low latency to meet demanding media creation requirements. • Ensure compatibility with popular video editing software like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro. • Incorporate metadata and AI search and automatically generated proxy footage functionality for efficient content retrieval. • Accommodate a storage capacity of 96TB to meet current and future video data needs. • Integrate LTO functionality for reliable data backup, archiving and searchable retrieval. • Support the use of proxy files for remote users to enhance collaboration. • Security and user management functionality – specifically user authentication, Role-based Access Control (RBAC), minimum AES 256 encryption, IP Whitelisting/Blacklisting, Secure Remote Access Protocols, Audit Logging, Two-Factor Authentication, Automatic Software Updates and Remote Management and Monitoring. • Automated cataloguing of assets for streamlined asset management.
