Abstract

The University wishes to purchase a fermenter of 300 litre total volume that will primarily be used for microbial fermentation which can handle a range of cell types and carbon/nitrogen sources, some in the form of novel biomasses (often referred to as waste or co-product). Typically, this would be expected to be made up of a vessel, impellor(s), fermenter controller, probes, motor, and computer and would be supplied as ‘the fermenter’ package.

In addition, the University requires this to be sold and fitted with an electrical steam generator ‘steam generator’ and a recirculating water chiller ‘recirculating water chiller’.
