Abstract

You are invited to submit a tender for the refurbishment of the science laboratory at Bedwas High School, Newport Road, Bedwas, Caerphilly. CF83 8BJ The scope of the project is fully described in the ITT but in summary the scope is: - The refurbishment of the existing science laboratory, science IT room and science preparation room to create a new open plan teaching area. As shown in layout drawing A001, A002 and A003. - Removal of existing suspended ceilings floor coverings and removal of existing fixed floor mounted and wall mounted benching and desks. - Removal of internal block wall to create open plan arrangement. Construct new doorway between prep room and science lab. - New floor screed and floor coverings. - Construction of new science laboratory arrangement. Supply and fit new suspended ceiling, benches and desks, plasterboard wall linings, plaster and paint to all walls. Solar film to the internal face of the existing high level windows. - New suspended ceiling to staff room and 6th form classroom at ground floor level. - Associated M&E works. - All asbestos works are to be arranged by the contractor with approval from the CCBC asbestos officer and must be carried out by one of the companies listed in section B4. The contractor must allow for this within their tender figure. - The contractor shall employ Ambassador to carry out temporary removal and reinstatement works to the fire safety equipment. - The contractor shall employ AFT to carry out the works to the sprinkler system. - The contractor shall liaise with CCBC IT and the interactive teaching wall installers.

Description of the goods or services required
