II.2.4) Description of the procurement
YPO are looking for Providers to be appointed onto a Framework Agreement for the supply of Primary and Secondary Science equipment, for use mainly in the school education market. The framework is designed to meet the needs of YPO by establishing an agreement for providers to deliver stock into YPO's distribution centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, but also a small number of higher value items on a direct basis whereby the end customer places the order with YPO and YPO places the order with the provider, but the provider delivers direct to the customer and invoices YPO. The Framework will cover period from September 2024 to August 2026 with an additional 2 x 12 month extension periods. The maximum contract period will therefore be 4 years (subject to annual review, incorporating price negotiations and KPI performance).
Please note due the recent changes in legislation and complexities associated with this, the tender will NOT include chemicals.
YPO are keen to engage with suppliers in the market to support the development of our tender for primary and secondary science and to help ensure the products are suitable and fit for purpose for our target customers. In particular, YPO would like to receive feedback from suppliers in respect of the following elements:
• The nature of the products required.
• Market trends
• Specification levels for our target customers
• Availability of products
• Recommended pack sizes
• Realistic order values
• Relevant Legislation and / or product restrictions
Please note, the above list is not exhaustive, and we welcome any feedback that will enable YPO build contract specification and requirements.
YPO are therefore looking for suppliers who would be interested in having a conversation with us. Please register your interest by contacting Lydia Hillman at lydia.hillman@ypo.co.uk by 15/04/2024.
Please note that this information is being sought without prejudice and without commitment. Should YPO decide to take this project further, the completion of an RFI or any information provided to YPO by suppliers will not be part of that process nor will the information provided be used to determine the outcome of that process.
