II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The FCDO are seeking cost consultancy and contract administration services to support a major project on their estate in New Delhi. This project is entitled the New Delhi Compound Redevelopment Project.
The Client’s objective is to complete the phased redevelopment of the British High Commission compound in New Delhi (the Compound) including the replacement of staff accommodation, amenity buildings, Energy Centre and High Commission office building.
The 24 acre British High Commission Compound is located in the prestige residential area of Chanakyapuri, a short travelling distance from the city centre and well located for government business.
The Compound comprises a mix of office, residential and amenity buildings, some of which are considered to be at or near the end of their life. With a strategy of “make do and mend” over the years, these buildings are showing considerable signs of wear and tear, and a major overhaul is long overdue.
