II.1.4) Short description
BCP Council is seeking to appoint a single service provider to the following services predominantly for BCP Homes but will include corporate sites \ building:
• Collect and dispose of bulk refuse from the internal and external communal areas of residential buildings, garage sites and other facilities e.g. access roads.
• Collect and dispose of hazardous waste from the internal and external communal areas of residential buildings, garage sites and other facilities.
• Carry out cleaning services out of hours to communal areas of flat blocks and tenanted homes.
• Provide a biohazard cleaning service during normal working hours and out of hours.
• Remove needles and other drug paraphernalia from communal areas of blocks of flats and individual dwellings.
• Remove personal items that have been left in internal communal areas thereby compromising fire safety and place into storage.
• Complete property clearances, partial property clearances, and cleans for occupied residential properties where significant clutter and hoarding occurs.
• Weekend cover for bin, waste management and inspections at six high-rise blocks.
The services may be required by other business units of BCP Council, including but not limited to corporate sites including offices and car parks.
This contract has been divided into lots which are:
• Lot 1 - Bournemouth and Christchurch (Corporate and Housing)
• Lot 2 - Poole (Corporate and Housing)
Bidders can tender for a single lot or multiple lots.
The initial contract duration is 3 years, with a further 2 options to extend by 12 months (36+12+12), subject to the Councils agreement.
