Abstract

Stockport Homes wishes to establish a framework agreement for housing adaptation works that are currently funded through the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG). The funding received from the DFG is to pay for essential adaptation to a person's current home to enable them to continue to live an independent life. The property could be owned or managed by The Authority or privately owned. The Authority is seeking to appoint a range of Contractors able to provide adaptation works consisting of, but not limited to the following including all associated works;* Bathroom adaptations i.e. level access showers, wet rooms * Kitchen adaptations i.e. height adjustable worktops, remodelling * Safety Works including fencing, locks, restrictors * Access ramps and steps * widening of internal doorways * extensions and building works * other sundry works which may be required.

This framework is to establish a list of Contractors able to deliver those adaptations.

LOT 1 - Level Access Showers (LAS) and associated works is for the design, specification and provision of level access showers/wet rooms and associated works. LOT 2 - External Ramps and Steps is for the design, specification and provision of ramps, hard standings, steps and rails works. The work is not geographically grouped. LOT 3 - Internal Works, Kitchens and Safety Works, is for the service provision of kitchens, joinery works such as door widenings and lintols, minor joinery works for safety such as fencing, locks, restrictors, newel posts and banister installations. There is an element of minor electrical works packaged in this lot mainly to assist in the Through Floor Lift (TFL) preparation and assistive technology. LOT 4 - Domestic Extensions and Garage Conversions, is for the construction of extensions and conversion works of a similar nature.
