Engaging Young People.Purpose of This L&D RequirementThis learning and development programme is different from the work coach routeway and is designed to:• Strengthen Work Coaches' confidence and competence in engaging 16-24 year olds• Provide practical, evidence based techniques tailored to youth needs• Improve the quality and consistency of youth focused interventions• Enhance customer experience, participation, and employment outcomes• Ensure our district remains aligned with national priorities for youth employmentThe Learning and Development offer is intended for Work Coaches (EO grade) who support 16-24 year olds. This group represents a broad mix of experience levels and requires training that is accessible, practical, and adaptable to varying levels of existing capability.The L&D product should include:• A training session focused on youth engagement, motivation, and effective employment coaching for young people.• Clear learning outcomes and practical tools that Work Coaches can immediately apply in interactions with 16-24 year olds.• Evidence based models and techniques, appropriate for DWP and the Youth Offer context.• Scenario based learning and case studies reflecting the real challenges young people face in the labour market today.• An evaluation approach that enables DWP to measure learning impact and confidence gains.Processed by SSCL
