The Contracting Authority is seeking to appoint a Contractor to construct a new high quality leisure facility offering a wide range of facilities for the whole community. Applicants are advised the facility must achieve a BREEAM excellent rating.

Conditions Relating to the Contract

III.1.1)

Deposits and guarantees required

The successful Supplier will be required to enter into a Pre-Construction Agreement which includes a form of Building Contract. A Parent Company Guarantee and Performance Bond which will be required to be entered into (the Parent Company Guarantee and Performance Bond being alternative requirements) prior to the start of the construction period.

As set out in the PQQ and tender documents.

The Contracting Authority reserves the right to require that each party undertakes joint and several liability. In the case of a consortium a lead consultant is required. There must be appropriate security for all contractual obligations.

The Contracting Authority will use the JCT Design and Build Contract 2011 edition incorporating amendment 1 dated March 2015 issued by the Joint Contracts Tribunal and as further amended by the Develop and Construct Contract Particulars and Amendments.

Interested parties will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire.
