Total quantity or scope

This contract is offered in a single Lot, combining a service and repair element to be provided for existing and future CCTV infrastructure throughout the term of the contract whilst delivering a programme of upgraded and replacement cameras and supporting hardware to fully digitise the Councils public space CCTV system. There are currently approximately 62 operational CCTV cameras in locations across the Borough but with the majority located in Chorley town centre public space. The cameras operate with a variety of fibre optic, IP and microwave transmission technology in use to feed images back to a monitoring suite currently capable of monitoring up to 16 cameras at any one time with a mix of analogue and digital recording capacity.

The Council has developed a phased upgrade and replacement programme for this infrastructure which is detailed in the tender documentation and the successful contractor will be required to implement this programme at the same time as providing a repair and maintenance service which is anticipated to de-escalate over the programme delivery as new infrastructure is brought on stream. The contract term is 36 months and is anticipated to commence on 1.10.2015. Total contract value including all elements of the contract for the full contract period is estimated to be 325 000 GBP.
