Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

This is an OJEU procurement for the provision of a framework to carry out property conditions surveys. Berneslai Homes require a framework of suppliers to carry out property condition surveys on the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough housing stock. The framework has 5 lots and companies may apply for any number of lots. It is envisaged that between 1 and 5 companies will be appointed to the framework. Further information on the procurement can be obtained by registering an interest against this procurement on Yortender (www.yortender.co.uk). The framework period will be from the 1.9.2016 until the 31.8.2017 with three possible 1 year extensions.

Berneslai Homes will incorporate a minimum 10 day standstill period at the point of information on the award, this provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
