Total quantity or scope of tender

The duration of the contract is for an initial term of seven (7) years, with an option to extend, at the sole discretion of the Health Board for up to an additional three (3) years (in 12 month tranches).

The full Tender which will be issued to Bidders shortlisted at PQQ stage will provide specific details for each of the sites included. In summary, the Lots stated below reflect the requirements the Bidders will need to provide options for;

Lot 1 - Ysbyty Gwynedd (Bangor)

15 station dialysis facility

Lot 2 - Ysbyty Alltwen

9 station dialysis facility

Lot 3 - Wrexham

21 station dialysis facility

Lot 4 - Welshpool

12 station dialysis facility

Additional Information

Please note additional information on this procurement:

1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate the terms.

3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed PQQ's after the stated closing date.

4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.

5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.

6. In reference to II.1.9 (Variants) to the extent permitted, if at all, in the tender documents.

7. Prospective suppliers should note that NHS Shared Services Partnership - Procurement Services, Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board is acting on behalf of Betsi Cadwaladr Local Health Board.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

- offering opportunities such as apprenticeships, NVQs, H&S training, full time employment etc. during the life of the Project; and where applicable

- securing other positive outcomes that would benefit the community the awarded bidder would operate within, for example working with local schools and the Health Board – for example providing work experience/ work placements
