II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The South Croydon Schools Cluster want to appoint a caterer to provide a fully managed catering service.
The schools want the caterer to provide meals that will encourage the school community to make healthy choices and in turn increase the uptake of the meals that are served.
It is envisaged that the services will be managed by 1 contractor for the duration of the contract. No submissions citing provision for individual schools will be accepted.
The procurement will take place in stages:
14th June — Supplier Pre-Tender meeting;
June/July — Individual site visits;
August — Tender submission and Review;
October — Short-listed suppliers invited to present their submission;
November — Tender Award;
1.4.2018 — Contract start date.

The South Croydon Cluster wishes to advise all interested companies that dates have been set aside to ensure that all schools can be visited before the end of the summer term. The details of these dates will be made available when the tender has been issued. No other sites visits will be allowed. A pre-tender meeting has been arranged for 14th June.
There are approximately 55 employees engaged on this contract. The current employee information indicates that no employees are registered for the LGPS. The contract consists of ten Primary Schools, 3 Special schools and 2 Secondary Schools.
As the schools prepare to close for the summer it is imperative that all interested parties have received responses to their queries in advance to ensure that they can prepare a complete tender.
