The Sport Wales National Outdoor Centre, Plas Menai is situated on the banks of the Menai Straits, three miles east of Caernarfon.
Sport Wales’s current contract for the provision of cleaning services at Plas Menai expires on 31st of March 2018 and they are therefore looking to tender and appoint a Contractor for this requirement for a new contract commencing 1st April 2018.
The contract will be for a three year period, with an option to extend for a further period of up to twenty four months.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Sport Wales National Outdoor Centre, Plas Menai is situated on the banks of the Menai Straits, three miles east of Caernarfon. It was opened in 1983.
The centre occupies a 7 acre site and has a number of facilities on site that include a 17m swimming pool, fitness room, mountain biking skills track, high and low ropes courses, climbing wall, numerous lecture rooms and ancillary facilities.
The centre also has accommodation for 142 guests, this is split between centre based bedrooms and dormitory style houses. The site also has instructor accommodation and has 5 houses that are occupied throughout the year.
The Centre has been delivering activities since it was opened in 1983 and delivers over 20,000 student activity days annually, as well as hosting and supporting several National Governing Bodies for Sport who use the centre as their office and training bases. RYA Cymru Wales, Disability Sport Wales, Cricket Wales, Welsh Football Trust, Welsh Hockey all have staff based at the centre.
Sport Wales’s current contract for the provision of cleaning services at Plas Menai expires on 31st of March 2018 and we are looking to tender and appoint a Contractor for this requirement for a new contract commencing 1st April 2018.
The Centre recognises the need to provide clean and hygienic environment for all its staff, residents and visitors. The current Cleaning Team at the Centre are committed to this aim and provide a high standard of cleanliness to all users of Centre facilities.
Plas Menai hosts over 20,000 participation experiences a year and requires exceptional levels of cleanliness to support these residential and non-residential experiences. The Centre is looking for an experienced Cleaning Contractor who can provide exceptional levels of cleanliness to meet customer requirements. The Contractor will need to demonstrate their ability in a range of cleaning areas from residential accommodation, sports facilities, meeting rooms to offices, changing rooms and toilets.
