Winchmore School is a successful, mixed, multi-cultural school situated on a very pleasant green site in Winchmore Hill, North London. The School has a roll of around 1600 students including over 400 in the sixth form.
Currently the cleaning services are provided by Birkin Cleaning Services.
Main site m2 circa 13 200.
Satellite Site (Broomfield) m2 circa 645.
Cleaning takes place between 6:00 — 08:30 and 15:15 — 17:45 daily.
There is 1 Day Janitor working from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm daily.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
For bidding companies to put forward proposals for a quality cleaning service and the investment necessary to achieve:
— effective cover for staff absent that is not just covered by extended hours of site cleaners,
— regular visits from the Contracts Manger who will liaise with the on-site cleaning staff monitor the quality of the daily cleaning and report to the Supervising Officer before leaving site,
— clearly defined cleaning hours that meet the routine of The School and that are adhered to by all staff (can be different for holiday periods),
— strict no smoking policy on any part of The School’s premises; including grounds and car parks,
— all on site supervision (working and non-working) to be fully priced and adhered to,
— regular stock checks of materials, including review of suitability of products used,
— regular inspection and maintenance / replacement of The Contractor’s equipment,
— regular training and development / motivation of staff and effective induction of new staff,
— contracts manager to have monthly meetings with Premises Team Manager,
— cleaning schedule to be provided before every holiday period with, who’s working, their hours and what areas will be cleaned.
