Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust are determined to be seen and recognised by all as outstanding trusts. In order to provide maximum benefit for our customers and develop value for money we have embarked on a joint procurement for the provision of a managed language service across our geographical patches namely Hampshire (Lot 1) and Dorset (Lot 2).

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust Overview:
We provide community health, specialist mental health and learning disability services for people across the south of England, covering Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire; we are 1 of the largest providers of these types of service in the UK. We employ around 7 500 staff who work from over 200 sites, including community hospitals, health centres, inpatient units and social care services.
Our services include:
Mental health services — we provide treatment and support to adults and older people experiencing mental illness. We also provide treatment to adults and young people, in secure and specialised settings.
Community services — our diverse range of community health services provide support and treatment to both adults and children. We deliver this care in community hospitals, health centres, GP surgeries and in our patients’ homes. We also provide a stop smoking service (Quit4Life).
Learning disabilities services — our community learning disability teams work in partnership with local councils to provide assessment and support for adults with learning disabilities. We also provide specialist inpatient services.
Social Care — we provide personalised social care support to people with a range of needs, including people with learning disabilities or mental illness. We support people to live independently.

Dorset HealthCare is responsible for all mental health services and many physical health services in Dorset, delivering both hospital and community-based care. We are the biggest provider of healthcare in Dorset, and our services continually evolve and develop to meet the needs of the local community.
We serve a population of over 700 000 people and employ around 5 000 staff, covering a wide range of expertise and specialisms. Our staff provide healthcare at over 300 sites, ranging from village halls and GP surgeries to mental health inpatient hospitals and community hospitals - as well as in people's homes.
