Justification:
This invitation is being extended to suppliers through the OJEU accelerated open procedure. Further to the unsuccessful conclusion of an open procedure, timelines do not allow for the application of prescribed standard timescales for an open procedure. The current cardiac catheter laboratory equipment is at the end of its life which poses a critical risk to the health and mortality of patients who will have procedures delayed, Therefore, to ensure delivery of effective patient care without detriment to safety, the accelerated procedure is being applied. There is no suitable alternative provision available in the local area.
