Refurbishment of the Caerphilly Miners Community Building

Refurbishment of the upper floors of the Caerphilly Miners Centre including installation of commercial kitchen; renewing walls and floors; extending the electrical and plumbing / heating services (new boilers and mains have already been installed on the ground floor); replacement ceilings; plastering; carpentry and decoration.

The contract will be tendered on a 2 stage process. Shortlist and Tender. The Tender will be awarded on a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP)basis to the shortlisted contractors. Contractors will be required to visit the building and inspect any areas / services that they feel necessary in order to provide a GMP. A full schedule of works and drawings will be issued. The Client will only be responsible for additional cost where a formal instruction through the contract is provided. The ground floor of the centre is operational (works are to the 1st and 2nd floors), and the contractor will need to consider how it will undertake the works.
