Explanation
Cefas Lowestoft Laboratory required a fully motorised standalone micro-FTIR imaging microscope with FPA imaging technology in order to carry out analysis on microplastics particles down to 5 #m, with the main objective to quantify, characterise extracted particles onto filters from sediment, biota and water samples quickly, efficiently and accurately, supporting faster screening methods. Market research indicated that this supplier is the only one capable or producing the right results using standalone specialist technology.
