Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
NHSBT awarded a contract (NHSBT0625 — ‘Old Contract’) for the 3 lots set out in section II.1.4) of this notice in 2014. The Old Contract was advertised with OJEU number 95314-2014. NHSBT advertised a contract (NHSBT1207 — ‘New Contract’) to replace the old contract on 7 May 2019 with OJEU reference 2019/S 087-209114. The New contract has an indicative start date of August 2020.
NHSBT has terminated the old contract for reasons that were unforeseeable. This notice applies to an interim contract to cover the period between termination of the old contract and commencement of the New Contract.
