Abstract

Yorkshire Water are looking to establish a framework covering services for the design, provision, installation, validation, proof testing, certification, and servicing of ventilation equipment. The provision of these services needs an in-depth knowledge of requirements to comply with COSHH Regulations section 6 and current DSEAR BS EN 60079 series of standards.

The successful company shall have capability to act as principal designer in the detailed design of the ventilation systems and be able to provide assets to a reasonable and generally accepted good engineering practice level of installation appropriate to the level of risk.

During the course of the contract life the services will support AMP7 delivery period where there will be an expected annual spend of c. £1 million for at least five years.

The contract will be part of the asset integrity team’s delivery of process safety works. A range of specialist technical services will be selectively employed across Yorkshire Water’s estate to support applications and processes for raw water, treated water, waste water, sewerage treatment and clean and sewer networks. These services are vital to supporting safety and compliance across Yorkshire Water’s business. This directly links to the business commitments and performance measures contained within Yorkshire Water’s business plan.

YW need to manage a wide range of assets and as such process safety has become an important area. YW are looking to establish a framework for the provision of ventilation services.
