Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation:
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the sudden lock down applied by the Government across the UK, NGN had an emergency requirement to source specific PPE relating to the pandemic such as masks and sanitisers within a short period of time for colleagues who continue with critical activities carried out by NGN. Whilst NGN initially sourced from contracted suppliers for this type of equipment, the high demand could not be met. Therefore, NGN engaged with Northern Safety Supplies Ltd to help facilitate a temporary emergency stock supply.
