II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The contract is for laboratory analysis for environmental monitoring, comprising:
• radiochemical and chemical analysis of samples;
• same day point to point courier services for samples including: delivery of sample containers to LLWR site, collection of samples from the LLWR site (including excepted packages) and return of transport packages — samples must be delivered to the receiving laboratory on the day of collection from LLWR;
• supply of sample bottles and containers;
• sample storage for samples awaiting bulking;
• sample bulking;
• electronic transfer of analysis results;
• sample storage for at least 3 months following completion of analysis and provision of the analytical report;
• sample disposal;
• provision of technical advice on analysis requirements and interpretation.
It is a 4-year contract with an optional 2-year extension and an estimated value of GBP 888 000.00.
