Background
Following a series of events where Carers highlighted the need for more person centred accessible respite, the ‘Creative Respite Project’ was commissioned by the Carers Steering Group of the Powys Regional Partnership Board and funded by Integrated Care Fund (ICF).
The Purpose of the Creative Respite Project:
‘To develop, improve and increase bespoke respite opportunities for carers. This will enable carers to have breaks when they need them, where services are not currently provided or not meeting a need.
Does not duplicate but tests whether bespoke respite provides better outcomes when compared against more traditional/current methods’.
Purpose of the Evaluation
We are looking for independent evaluation to
1. Involve Carers in evaluating the project and whether it is of value to them
2. Capture the learning from the project
3. Capture the social and economic value of the project
4. Share the learning at a national and local level to inform future practice and to assist commissioning bodies in targeting resources effectively.
5. Enable Carers and people involved in the evaluation to have the best experience possible and be valued for their contributions.
Brief for Consultant
Credu would like to appoint a consultant in order to carry out an independent evaluation of the Project, with an initial report to be published in June 2021, an interim report in December 2021 and a final report in February 2022.
