2.4

Total quantity or scope of tender

Tenders are being invited for the provision of the supply of sports clothing for academic sports courses (students and staff) and playing kits for the competitive student sports teams.

The University is looking for a new 3 year partnership to supply sports clothing for academic sports courses (students and staff) and playing kit for the competitive student sports teams.

The kit supplier would supply in two separate parts. The Academic Sports Kit would be ordered by the University and the Competitive Sports Kit would be by the Union. Although this would be from the same supplier, this would be on a separate ordering and invoice procedure to comply with the differing financial regulations in the Students Union and the University.

Key would be to deliver best value to the students. The advantages in this approach would be the continuous development of the partnership to benefit both parties.

The partnership would start for the beginning of the academic year in 2021 and finish at the end of the academic year 2024 but with a potential of an additional 2 x 1 year extensions.

The University is seeking to develop efficient and cost-effective arrangements which will be capable of meeting future market and technological changes, and which will meet, and often exceed, user expectations. It is looking for a partnership relationship in which it can be confident will fulfil all the University’s current and future requirements. It is important that any potential partner can add value through an effective dedicated support team backed up by a proactive education sector specialist Relationship Manager.

3 Conditions for Participation

• The supplier will need to have an ‘on line’ shop where students can purchase any additional kit directly from the supplier. The supplier should have sufficient stock to supply kit within 3 weeks of order.

Kit Supplier Shop

• Company to provide an on-campus provision to help support the student experience relating to kit issues.

• Hold Comprehensive Public Liability Insurance.
