Provision of Ty Bron Office Refurbishment

Description of the goods or services required

Bron Afon are moving toward a new way of working that allows the workforce to be more flexible and agile in its approach. The environment needs to reflect this and the current building does not meet this need. Creating an open, bright, airy workspace for colleagues will support our vision. We have purchased the furniture for the building and this is adaptable to our changing needs.

Requirement:

Bron Afon is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Principal Contractor to undertake refurbishment works in its office headquarters known as Ty Bron located in Llantarnam, Cwmbran.

The lease on the building is for another seven years, at which point we will review the need for the current space available to all us.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Bron Afon is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be a mandatory contract clause. Therefore, as a minimum requirement, Tenderers will have to agree that community benefits will become part of the contract

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
