Abstract

CCBC’s project opportunity is to develop a ground mounted solar farm of up to ~20 MW capacity, the largest of its kind in local authority ownership in Wales. A grid connection offer has been secured which provides for 15,306 kVA export on to Western Power Distribution’s network at 33kV. A provisional grid connection date has been agreed with Western Power Distribution (WPD) for Spring 2024 when WPD’s upgrade works at Upper Boat substation are due to have been completed. The council previously appointed a partner to act as technical consultant during the feasibility and pre-planning phases of the project, however their services are no longer available to the Council and the Council are therefore seeking to procure a technical consultancy partner to complete the project.

- Stage 2 - Procurement Support

- Stage 3 - Construction Support

Bidders shall note that CCBC reserves the right to award each individual stage as and when or if required.
