NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England (referred to as the Commissioner), invited suitably qualified and experienced providers to respond to a Competitive Process for the provision of Provision of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Services for all ages (Lot 1: North West, Lot 2: North East and Yorkshire, Lot 3: East of England, Lot 4: Midlands, Lot 5: London and South East, Lot 6: South West).<br/><br/>The service is commissioned in England for two specific indications in line with NHS England Clinical commissioning policy: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for decompression illness/gas embolism (all ages). https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/hbot-decompression-illness-gas-embolism-all-ages/<br/><br/>The aim of the service is to deliver Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) where clinically appropriate for those suffering from Decompression Illness (DCI) or Gas Embolism.<br/><br/>The key objective of the Competitive Process was to commission six (6) geographically dispersed centres for the provision of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Services for all ages.<br/><br/>As a result of this procurement exercise the commissioner intends to award contracts for the following Lots:<br/>Lot 3: East of England<br/>Lot 5: London and South East<br/>Lot 6: South West<br/><br/>The service is due to commence on 1st October 2025, for a period of 5 years with the Commissioners having the option to extend for up to an additional 1 + 1 year(s) (maximum contract duration 7 years).

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. <br/><br/>The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by Tuesday 27 May 2025.
