Abstract

The B5106 running from Dolgarrog to Trefriw regularly closes during storm events due to high water levels coming from the flood plain. This effectively severs the connection to Trefriw to residents and emergency services. The location at North Conwy Valley Maze needs to be raised above the level of the flood plain. The works involve but are not limited to:- • Temporary installation of stock proof fencing • Perforating existing tarmac • Construction of new retaining wall • Construction of new carriageway including tie in at both ends • Rising existing manhole chambers
