Description of the goods or services required
Initially the appointment will involve managing the pre-contract service including design team, quantity surveyor and supporting specialists through RIBA 4 design and tender development for a traditional JCT lump sum tender. Under this contract, the Architect will be providing full Contract Administrator duties.
The build programme will be phased in two main sections over 16-month period on site. The initial phase will target getting the Institute level ready and accessible and the second phase the Hall level. The external refurbishment will be undertaken over both phases. During that time TWH will continue to offer the community services albeit restricted with the building works.
Full details of the project are included within the project pack comprising RIBA 3 design, cost plan, programme, risk register, project organogram and other supporting details about TWH.

Managing major and complex refurbishment contracts.
Heritage projects within an operational setting
Successful track record in delivering Lottery funded capital projects
Multi-funded projects
Experience and understanding of JCT SBC contract responsibilities
Experience of supporting small trust clients.
Professional appointments, programming, risk and budgetary control.
Experience of leading teams and chairing key meetings
Experience of contributing to preparing funding bids and managing external funding
Understanding of HSE including risk assessments / Insurance and Legislation
To have knowledge of listed building, planning and building control legislations.
