Abstract

The University of Strathclyde is undertaking preliminary market engagement in relation to the future provision of laboratory gases across departments. The University is considering the establishment of either a framework agreement and/or a contractual arrangement for the supply and delivery of laboratory gases, with the final procurement approach to be determined following this engagement.

The anticipated scope includes but not limited to the supply and delivery of a range of laboratory gases required to support teaching, research and operational activities across the University departments.

This may also include the removal of cylinders and associated equipment, in accordance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.

The University expects the potential supplier(s) to provide reliable, responsive and flexible delivery arrangements to meet the requirements.

This Prior Information Notice is issued to inform the market of a potential future procurement opportunity and to support the development of a proportionate procurement strategy and contractual model.
