Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) has undertaken a strategic review of health professional education and training across NHS Wales. HEIW commissions both pre-registration and post-registration qualifications for the NHS Wales workforce.
HEIW identified a requirement to procure a framework agreement for the provision of work based learning qualification development, including individual units/modules or qualifications at education levels from Entry Level 1 to Level 8.
This is to notify that a new provider has been added to the framework agreement.

Work based learning is valued for its flexibility, capability for small cohort numbers, cost-effectiveness, and strong focus on applied practical knowledge and skills. Work based learning qualifications are now recognised as a potential solution for post registration education and the opportunities for higher level post registration work based learning qualification development is ever growing. HEIW have identified the need to procure a framework agreement to provide flexibility for HEIW when commissioning work based learning qualification development.
This notice is to inform that a new provider has been added to the Framework Agreement (the previously referenced Contract Award Notice: 2023-129769). The Framework remains open throughout its lifetime to allow, on an annual basis, new entrants to the market (prospective Bidders) to seek appointment onto the Framework.
The scope of the framework agreement will enable HEIW to commission work based learning qualification development. The qualification size will be variable and the education levels that will be captured in the framework agreement will be as follows:
