An Executive Decision dated 27th October 2023 approved the commissioning of an overnight three bed short breaks service for children with disabilities at The Maples, St Bernard's Special School, Louth, via a public‑public cooperation agreement with Inspire Connected Communities Trust for a period of ten years.
The service supports the Council's statutory duties under The Breaks for Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011 and aligns with the Lincolnshire's Inclusion Strategy, enabling children to access appropriate support, remain at home where possible, and improve outcomes and independence.
