Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

The Conference Centre project is a design and fit-out of approximately 4,000 m² of a shell and core development constructed as an integral part of the 55,000 m² Resorts World complex located on the NEC campus. Please note the construction of the Resorts World Complex is well under way and was contracted by Genting Casinos UK Ltd.

The space will comprise of:

A Reception Space.

This space, from the entrance moving into the conference center, needs to set the scene for welcoming delegates and setting the tone of a high standard of facility and service.

A Function Space.

The space will be used for events of varying delegate numbers and types of events e.g. banquets, conferences, award dinners. Simultaneous use of the space created by the installation of moveable walls that must have ease of set up, breakdown at short notice.

Practicality of use needs to be retained.

Back of house Catering Space.

The facility needs to provide catering to all areas.

The range and type of catering events (from drinks receptions to large banquets) needs to be accommodated, as does the flexible configuration of the Function space.

Back House Space.

Within the back of house there will be need for provision of offices ,staff facilities and storage some of this space will be created from Mezzanine floors.
