Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
Wessex Water is required to deliver an ambitious programme of sampling and analysis between 2014 and 2020 to understand the impact of priority and priority hazardous substances, specific pollutants, emerging substances and pharmaceuticals from sewage treatment works on the environment.
The scope of this contract will be the analysis of, and reporting on, samples collected in accordance with this programme. The scope will include the provision of sample bottles and collection and transportation of completed samples from one or more sites in the Wessex Water region to the successful economic operator's laboratory for analysis. The sampling itself will be undertaken by Wessex Water Services Ltd.

Lodging of appeals
Wessex Water will not enter into contracts or agreements which are subject to the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended by the Utilities Contracts(Amendment) Regulations 2009 and the Public Procurement (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations2011) under Regulation 33 and 33A until the standstill period of a minimum 10 calendar days has occurred from the date information is passed to the tenderers on the proposed award. Any request by tenderers for further information during the standstill period must be sent in writing to the address stated in section I.1 of this notice.
If an appeal is not resolved and the economic operator considers it to have suffered, or potentially suffered loss, it may, where the Utilities Contract Regulations 2006 (as amended) apply, bring proceedings in the High Court (England and Wales).
