Abstract

NHS HMR CCG seeks to commission a timely, evidenced based, and equitable Adult MSK Physiotherapy Service for the registered population of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.

This service has 2 distinct elements which must integrate to provide seamless, high quality physiotherapy for the population of the Borough. The 2 distinct elements are:

- Routine physiotherapy including domiciliary outreach to patients homes;

- Extended scope physiotherapy including joint injections.

This service expected to be operational in 2014 will have two specific referral routes:

- GP referral;

- Direct access by patients.
