A series of specialist Pathology tests.

PHE are the only organisation that offer, this complete range of testing for infectious disease within England and hence the reason we need to use them.

We use PHE for a number of reasons:

1. Unique and specialist service only offered by PHE in England.

2. Confirmation of test results which are required by a specialist laboratory. Service offered by PHE in England.

3. National guidelines for specific tests which need to be carried out centrally e.g. Ebola testing.
