Ice-clearing services. Snow-clearing services. Rock salt. Road salt. Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust requires a gritting and snow clearance service contract for car parks, roadways and walkways at its sites across Dorset and surrounding areas. The Trust requires the supplier to obtain reliable weather forecast data in order to implement consistent and defensible decision making arrangements for precautionary salting, providing surety of treatment and protection against litigation. The supplier will be required to provide additional treatments on an ad-hoc basis within 8 hours of instruction from DHC representatives. The supplier will be required to operate a fleet pf properly maintained appropriate vehicles and plane, with GPS tracking facilities, full back up and sufficient supplies of salt.

Additional Information

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.

The Contracting Authority intends to use an eTendering system in this procurement exercise and reserves the right to use a reverse auction.
