The aim of the patient and public engagement service is to enable the CCG to move beyond engagement. We were seeking for a provider with expertise in community engagement to support the CCG to build meaningful and effective engagement platforms through which it engages patients, the third sector and the traditionally ignored. These platforms should function to enable the CCG to put patients and the public at the centre of how local NHS services are designed, commissioned and monitored.

The service includes three core elements:
— Patient and Public Voice Platform;
— Bespoke experience-led co-designing activities and methods;
— Capacity development and grow engagement of Patient Participation Groups (PPG).
Across all 3 elements of the PPE service, the provider will be expected to develop and maintain effective mechanisms through which to provide feedback to all participants on a regular basis.
The contract is for 3 years with a value of 504 880 GBP

Explanation
The Contracting Authority have published a Contract Notice in the Official Journal of the European Union and carried out an Open Procedure competitive tender which resulted in no suitable tenders. As a result, the Contracting Authority, in accordance with Regulation 32 of Public Contracts Regulations 2015,carried out a Negotiated Procedure without prior publication to award this contract.
