Abstract

The South West London Alliance Partnership of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) is inviting applications from suitably experienced, qualified and registered providers of Termination of Pregnancy Services (TOPS).

NHS commissioners across five boroughs of South West London wish to commission a new ‘Any Qualified Provider (AQP)’ NHS framework to which successful applicant providers will be appointed to offer a choice of service provision to patients registered with GPs within: NHS Wandsworth CCG; NHS Merton CCG; NHS Kingston CCG; NHS Richmond CCG; and NHS Sutton CCG.

Service commencement is expected from 1.4.2018 for a 3-year period, which may be extended by the commissioners for up to a further 3 years (6 years in total being possible).

The AQP Framework offers providers fixed rate prices and a share of local activity as determined through patient choice, with no guaranteed levels of activity or income.

The CCGs are also inviting bids to operate a Central Booking Service (CBS) to support a coordinated approach for patients accessing TOPS across SW London. The CBS will be offered to a single successful bidder.

The process to evaluation applications for Lot 1 — AQP framework for TOPS, will be a non-competitive assurance process; whilst the award of a contract for Lot 2 — CBS, will be determined through a competition.
