Lot 4: Supply UAS packages with a trusted delivery system to Network Rail plus a structured servicing, maintenance and lease option packages for each aircraft across England, Scotland + Wales.

Lot 5: The Supplier will be required to provide Civil Aviation Authority National Qualified Entity accredited Drone Pilot Training (ground school assessment, practical pilot training and flight assessment, post training support and advice) across England, Scotland + Wales.

Network Rail requires UAS suitable for the following activities:

1) Reactive operational events and planned inspections and surveys reactive operational events;

2) General railway infrastructure inspections and surveys of:

(i) buildings/canopies;

(ii) bridges/tunnels/retaining walls;

(iii) embankment/culvert/earthworks;

(iv) Overhead Line Equipment (OLE);

(v) post incident condition inspections e.g.: following adverse weather, incidents, etc.;

(vi) survey/design grade inspections (NR/L2/TRK/3100: topographic, engineering, land and measured building surveying — strategy and general (Sec E3 Page 70));

(vii) LiDAR/multispectral imagery.

Supply or Lease to Network Rail, UAS packages with a trusted delivery system to Network Rail plus a structured servicing and maintenance package for each aircraft.

The services are to include but not limited to:

(i) issue of equipment including aircraft and ground control systems, batteries and ancillary equipment plus any additional sensors;

(ii) maintenance/servicing and repair of aircraft systems, batteries and ancillary equipment;

(iii) spares/replacement/part exchange service for owned aircraft;

(iv) issue of ancillary equipment;

(v) holding (storage) service for network rail owned equipment;

(vi) temporary loan equipment.

(iv) hold task specific risk assessment(s) and documented safety management arrangements;

(v) hold an operations manual;

(vi) maintain aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.
