Abstract

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) working for and on behalf of NHS Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group wish to commission an Engagement Service for the Newcastle Gateshead locality

The aim is to provide an engagement service for Newcastle and Gateshead CCG. The provider will provide coordinated engagement in respect of patient and public involvement across Newcastle and Gateshead in both Newcastle and Gateshead, working in partnership with relevant individuals and organisations as required.

The service is to commence from 1.1.2019 for a period of 3 years and 3 months with an option to extend for 1 year subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Contracting Authorities.

Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, the contracting authority must consider:

How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of Newcastle and Gatehead and how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement. This will be tested via the response to the tender.

NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with potential bidders. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to potential bidders and all communications with NECS, including your submission, will be conducted via the PROACTIS portal https://www.proactisplaza.com/SupplierPortal/?CID=NECS
