This contract is being led by Gateshead Council on behalf of Gateshead Council, South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council (the Partner Authorities), who have formed the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership (STWWMP), for the provision of a service for the Management and Operation of Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.

The contract has been split into multiple lots and tenderers may submit a response for any number of lots.

Lot 1 — Gateshead

Campground HWRC

Cowen Road HWRC

Lot 2 — South Tyneside

Middlefields HWRC

Lot 3 — Sunderland

Beach Street HWRC

Lot 4 — Lots 1-3 combined.

There will also be a requirement for the contractor to transport Green and Residual Waste to Delivery Points identified by the Council and to arrange ad hoc collections of containers from Council premises.
