II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) framework contract for the supply of plumbing materials and above ground drainage (including bathrooms) to enable the undertaking of responsive, planned and project works across a variety of properties, both Council and privately owned.
The top 3 ranked suppliers have been awarded a position on the framework.
Under this framework the Council will ‘call-off’ under 2 options; direct award and mini competition. The direct award standard ‘call-off’ contract has been awarded to the supplier ranked first through the tender evaluation for the first 2 years of the contract. The direct award position will be reopened at a predetermined time prior to the 2-year point in the contract and all suppliers listed on the framework will be asked to submit a new pricing submission.
Where the Council has a specific requirement in ordering products for bulk orders and pre-ordered plot packs for core products, it will run a mini competition for all 3 suppliers on the framework.
The successful suppliers are required to source and supply all plumbing materials required to fulfil the deliverable requirements unless specifically agreed between BCP Council and the supplier.
The Council has identified a list of required products that they expect the supplier to keep in stock at all times and delivered to site within the specified parameters.
Any department or trading entity within the authority or its trading remit will be able to create individual accounts for invoicing purposes and benefit from the trade rates and commercial support being made available within the contract.
