Abstract

Wrexham County Borough Council is redesigning its People Services and remodelling its town centre office accommodation to include a substantial ground floor wellbeing area to deliver integrated health, care and third sector care and support solutions for Wrexham citizens. This exciting, new service offer will be available to the public early in 2022. We are seeking expressions of interest in the co-productive management of the Wellbeing Area and associated services. The Wellbeing Area will provide integrated health, social care, third sector and community services, improving access to information and advice and delivering preventative and alternative solutions to care. It will act as the central location of a range of accessible facilities, enabling people and families with wide-ranging support needs to better engage with community services, with easy access to preventative information and advice for all citizens. The Service will provide for easier and more productive joint and integrated working, better access to professionals for the public and a more flexible and agile approach to provision. It is designed to support people of all ages, including children, and will help, for example, facilitate real alternatives to traditional day centre services. Set amongst fully accessible facilities to enable people to access community services, it will provide access to information, advice and services where people can be supported to source, design and commission their own care and support in order to meet a range of complex care needs. Amongst the facilities provided will be two substantial community spaces; an eatery and sensory room as well as a number of meetings areas, self-service stations and accessible toilet and changing spaces. We wish to invite expressions of interest from third sector providers who might be interested in the delivery of efficient, operational management of the space and who will work effectively with statutory and third sector partners to provide equal access to services in order to best meet the needs of citizens. To this end, the Provider will be expected to work collaboratively to market and develop this important new service co-productively with citizens and partners. This is a speculative notice only, to determine interest in providing the service. Any decision to progress to full tender exercise will be made following any expression of interest in providing the service from suitably experienced providers. You must provide confirmation of your interest as well as brief details of your experience and specialist abilities in providing similar services to this client group. We are also seeking to deliver further market engagement activity to inform how the service is developed; please indicate your interest in being part of this early development work as part of your submission.
