II.2.4) Description of the procurement
TRP enjoys a reputation for horticultural excellence and for nature conservation. The intention is to maintain and improve the already high standards, and the contractor will therefore need to provide staff with appropriate levels of skill and experience. The contractor will be required to work to a detailed specification and will be closely monitored by the Park Manager. The contractor will also be expected to maintain the present, rigorously enforced, standards of health and safety and site cleanliness that the public has come to expect, and which have become part of TRP culture. The design and management of the parks will remain TRP’s responsibility but there may be opportunities for the contractor to be involved in seasonal bedding design and some landscape schemes.
