The proposed works contract is for a residential development of 136 units of social and affordable housing at the former St Patricks Barracks, Ballymena, including associated road infrastructure, landscaping, childrens play park and other ancillary works.
The complexity of the housing project includes site clearance; cut and fill works; remediation, piling; retaining walls; the construction of 136 dwellings; utility alterations; all engineering services and external site development works and the provision of a play park.
The contract will be for approximately 30 months from date of award and is schedule to start by mid 2021. It is expected ALL social housing units built under this contract will achieve Secured By Design and Lifetime Homes accreditation.

Radius Homes Limited will comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and where appropriate, will incorporate a standstill period (i.e. a minimum of 10 calendar days) at the point information on the award of contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. This provides time for the unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.
