NHS Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Group are prepared to receive tenders for a community diagnostic services procurement. The services are to be broken down into two specialist areas which will form separate procurement lots. Those specialist areas are as follows:
Lot 1: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and non-obstetric ultrasound (nous);
Lot 2: adult hearing screening services.

Lot 2: Adult hearing screening services.
The contracting authority is seeking a direct access for NOUS and MRI, head and neck service that will aid early diagnostics and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care, ensuring a local service with staff qualified with appropriate levels of skill and experience, using equipment which complies with the most up-to-date guidance set by the Royal College of radiologists, connection to NHS image transfer solutions, the ability to integrate with the e-Referral system, robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance.
